We have watched The Prequel visual over and over, it is well directed and put together! As stated on YXNG Bane’s Youtube account, the visual was directed by Esrael Alem, produced by Samin Saadat and the story and concept was created by UK rap legend, G-Frsh.
This short movie creates the base and the philosophy for Baney Boys project HBK. The short movie has a Good Kid Mad City / Kidulthood / Mandem On The Wall, one day development vibe to it, which is very relatable to his target audience and his core fans.
The HBK album itself was released via Disturbing London, on the 2nd of November and is very much received by the UK scene. The album has the hits Slip N Slide and Needed Time (discussed below). It also has songs called Christopher Nolan, Squeezeface, On My Mind and Late Night (feat. Kojo Funds & Dj Tunez) The HBK: The Prequel visual was released on Youtube on the 7th of November and it has racked up over 200k views.

Needed Time and Slip N Slide
The Needed Time visual, directed by Salim Adam, was released on Youtube on the 9th of November 2018 and it already has over 900k views. The visual follows a young couple’s relationship, which goes perfectly with the theme of the song.
The Slip N Slide song is a club banger from the get go! The vibes on the track are very typical of Yxng Bane. The youthful, hood, relatable, relational and adventurous themes are brought to light on this song. The visual does it justice also. Yxng Bane & the Timberland shoe have worked on the visual toegther his single, Slip N Slide, taken from Yxng Bane’s brand new project HBK. The visual has already gained over 230 k views on Youtube, to date (24th of November), since its release on the 14th of November 2018.
As stated on GRM dailys Youtube account:
‘Timberland’s 45th anniversary boot celebrates & reimagines the iconic look that’s long been a staple in hip-hop. Inspired by this celebration, Bane’s video features modern twists on 90’s culture & pays homage to legendary music & film icons like Tupac, Biggie & Spike Lee.’
